Max Forrest is the owner and lead filmmaker of Max Forrest Films. Born and raised in Utah Valley, his path into filmmaking began in an unexpected place while emptying trash one night at his dad’s office at 17. He met a video artist working late who challenged him to learn the difference between vector and bitmap. When Max returned the following week with an explanation, he was offered a video editing mentorship in Adobe After Effects. Growing up in a family that valued creativity, Max naturally gravitated toward the art of video editing. He went on to study photography, graphic & web design at The Art Institute of Salt Lake City.

His first break came when a video project for a school assignment landed him a full time job. Now, almost 15 years later, Max combines mechanical technique and light with an instinct for visual storytelling, producing films delivering video content without a niche. He loves collaborating with people from start to finish, surprising them with artistic flourishes that can’t be storyboarded. So expect the unexpected. His goal is to make clients question, dig deeper, discover, and feel comfortable and confident that their story will be told in the best possible way.
